‘This is Georgia’s best collection yet!’ I heard people say through the claps of the finale walk. I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to work backstage with Georgia Hardinge during her SS16 presentation. Having interned with her previously, I have a great knowledge of her aesthetic and past collections, therefore it was a proud moment to see another stunning season displayed at LFW.
The ‘Dynasty’ collection, as with Georgia’s previous work, has the perfect balance of being wearable yet sculptural. The inspiration was drawn from zodiac symbolism which were laser cut over the top of Georgia’s infamous pleats. My favourite look has got to be the black and pink pleated show gown, featuring a laser cut cape! It looked absolutely breath-taking walking down the ‘paper room’ section of the room, which was set up with 10,000 white post-it notes all fluttering in the wind of 9 fans.
I would like to thank Farrukh for taking some incredible pictures of me whilst I was messing around behind the fans of the ‘paper room’! He also got this great shot of the GH team after the shows were finished!
Check out my instagram for backstage pictures from the GH presentation.
