Georgia Hardinge set design

AW16 was an incredibly exciting fashion week for me as it was my first season in my new studio manager role at Georgia Hardinge. The reaction from her ‘Hidden’ presentation has been insane, so many people loved the collection and we thoroughly enjoyed working on it! Here are some pictures that I captured backstage…

This season, Georgia was inspired by lenticular techniques, revealing an image when seen at a certain angle. She wanted to reflect upon stellar parallax, the movement or star depending on the observers position, by creating illusions and hidden cosmic designs within her signature pleats. Movement of the garments will show the graphic patterns inside, made in metallic foils to reflect light.

¬†Georgia wanted to capture the phenomenon that was last years meteor showers with a running theme of ‘shooting stars’ throughout the collection. The colour palette was put together based on galactic imagery. Bursts of deep magentas and cobalt blues stood out against the midnight undertones.

Evo hair and Sisley Paris sponsored the beauty looks that featured french braids and and graphic lines of turquoise kohl pencil. The shoes provided by Kat Maconie were a stunning compliment to the clothes, in particular their ‘Blanch’ design that featured holographic leather panels.
