ABOUT THE BLOGGER
I can’t remember a time that I wasn’t interested in fashion. From the age of 10 I would sit in my room drawing clothes, accessories and putting outfits together on dolls and teddy bears. I created this blog in my second year of studying at the University of the Creative Arts in Epsom, graduating with a degree in Fashion BA(Hons). On the side I like to illustrate, including a collaboration with major fashion retailer Matchesfashion.com. Upon graduating university I started my life as a Design Studio Manager for Georgia Hardinge, my days include designing clothes, managing the website, social media and consuming 10x your daily sugar/caffeine in the lead up to London Fashion Week!
This blog has been like a vessel to tell my story and over come my self-confidence issues. It has helped me to develop my own style, a style that isn’t about following others and I want to share that with the world. There is nothing more exhilarating than standing out and looking different.
ABOUT THE BLOG
The idea behind Adorned in Monochrome was sparked when in conversation with friends. They have always mentioned that I wear a lot of black and that it’s my favourite colour, to which I was in denial… until I took a look at the contents of my wardrobe. I am now a self confessed monochrome-aholic! I don’t even realise it’s happening, I am just drawn to black, white and grey colours.
And so I reached out to the niche market of monochrome dressers and started this blog to show how I style clothes to fit multiple trends on a limited palette. I want to inspire through my clothes. My success as a blogger has given me the opportunity to work with incredible brands such as Reiss, Missguided.com, Primark, Flossy Shoes, Fashion Union, Glamorous.com, Motel Rocks, Urban Outfitters, and more!
I am open to any thoughts, opinions or requests that you may have so please be sure to let me know in the comment boxes! I hope you enjoy what I have to say.
I can be contacted either on here or by via email – firstname.lastname@example.org…Open for reviews on products or companies. I am also interested in doing commission work for either my photography, illustrations or designs.
